Job Title:
Exam Officer (Temporary to Permanent)


Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our secondary school as an Exam Officer. This position is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent role based on performance.

The Exam Officer will be responsible for coordinating and administering all aspects of examinations within the school, ensuring compliance with examination board regulations and maintaining accurate records.


Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and manage the entire examination process, including exam scheduling, invigilation, and the distribution and collection of examination papers.
  • Ensure compliance with examination board regulations, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Liaise with examination boards, external invigilators, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth running of examinations.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of examination entries, results, and any related documentation.
  • Provide guidance and support to students regarding examination procedures, including registration, special accommodations, and exam timetables.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure accurate and timely submission of coursework and controlled assessment marks.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of examination timetables to students, staff, and parents.
  • Coordinate the provision of appropriate examination materials and equipment, ensuring their security and confidentiality.
  • Manage the process of examination result collection, recording, and distribution to students and relevant staff members.
  • Stay updated with changes in examination board regulations and communicate any relevant updates to staff and students.

Requirements:


  • A minimum of [X] years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
  • Familiarity with examination board regulations and procedures.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with examination management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours during peak examination periods.

Working Hours:
This position is full-time, with working hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. However, flexibility to work additional hours during peak examination periods is required.

£15.00-£19.00 per hour
