This is a Hybrid role which could be based out of either our Wythall or Telford offices. The need to be in the office will vary but is likely to be a minimum of 1-2 times a month

Salary and benefits:

The role
You will be responsible for the delivery and analysis of actuarial modelled and manual calculations for a range of valuation reporting needs.
Regularly working to defined and tight timescales whilst maintaining professional standards, you will use your actuarial judgement to resolve valuation issues considering materiality and operational aspects as well as the resource management of the Validation team to complete tasks in a Working-day timetable, Actuarial Annual Calendar and off-cycle reporting demands.
You will communicate effectively with a technical actuarial audience and simplify communications of technical issues to a non-technical audience.
You will also lead process improvements in the team from identification of issues, working with the Modelling Systems team to find workable solutions and sign off end solutions.
You will be a qualified Actuary with a detailed knowledge of Actuarial Reporting Processes and Practices built up through experience working in an Actuarial Reporting function.
As the Head of Actuarial Validation, you will be a strong communicator heading up a large reporting team demonstrating continuous improvement and enduring sustainable performance through collaboration across the wider Actuarial Reporting and Change division.
You will play a key role in Actuarial modelling, Financial Reporting and future Integrations which will require building strong external relationships with a number of stakeholders.
