Description
The Children's Literacy Charity is a registered charity working alongside primary school pupils who struggle to read and write. Our vision is to close the literacy gap for all disadvantaged children, enabling them to achieve their true potential.

We are looking for a Literacy Intervention Tutor for our Literacy Lab in Mauldeth Road Primary School (Manchester). It is a part-time role for three days a week, term-time only.

You will be tutoring 9 primary aged pupils on a one-to-one basis on their phonics and literacy skills using our own multisensory programme.


The ideal applicant will be:

  • Literate and proficient in English
  • Experienced in working with or looking after primary aged children
  • Able to demonstrate empathy, understanding and patience towards children who are experiencing learning difficulties
  • A good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary:
£11,400 for 3 days a week (Full-time equivalent: £19,000)


Job Types:
Part-time, Temporary contract

Part-time hours: 21 per week

£11,400.00 per year


Schedule:

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Manchester, M14 6SG: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:


  • Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
