Shift pattern:
Monday - Thursday 14:00 - 22:00, Friday 14:00 - 21:00


Overtime:
paid at x1.5 after 39 hours Monday - Friday and x2 for weekends

Due to significant growth of the business, Bells Food Group have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor.

We manufacture high quality products, delivering pastry based baked goods to every corner of the UK and meeting the needs of commercial and domestic customers alike.


Responsibilities:


  • Support the Production Manager to ensure production plan are achieved within the agreed timeframe.
  • Manage and motivate a team of machine controllers and operative
  • Monitor performance, review training needs, manage attendance (absence / holiday on a daily basis, carry out annual appraisals.
  • Review operation efficiencies ensuring tracking and reporting of downtime, and assist the development of action based solutions to reduce such occurrences.
  • Ensure that the Operations team conform to all business Technical standards and specifications, as laid out in the HACCP Quality Manual.
  • Ensure that the Operations team conform to Health & Safety legislation, all business policies and standards, initiating any required action so that the site is healthy and safe and free from accidents.
  • Support the Production Manager to ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
  • Effectively communicate with departments to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Monitor stock levels ensuring traceability is adhered to.

Requirements:


  • Experience of supervision in an FMCG environment essential.
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills essential.
  • H&S/Food Safety systems & legislation (eg IOSH); Able to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Able to ensure manufacturing meets required quality standards.
  • Able to use widespread functions within relevant software.
  • The correct person will support drive our company values.
