Procurement Strategy Lead

As a Barclays Procurement Strategy Lead, you will be working in procurement, operating the global sourcing, purchasing, supplier and spending management for Barclays within Barclays Execution Services (BX).

Within this role, you'll be responsible for working in partnership with Business Units and suppliers to deliver innovative solutions for Barclays, balancing costs against service levels & risks, enabling Barclays to achieve its ambition of becoming the bank of choice.

You'll also drive the process design & optimisation of in scope platforms.

What will you be doing?

  • Driving the process design and optimisation of the platform in line with the function and domain strategies
  • Maintaining integrity of strategy/vision of the platform, ensuring change remains aligned to strategy
  • Processing documentation for the processes that are performed by the product/platform
  • Ensuring continued alignment to Procurement Digital and product specific road map
  • Raising awareness of forthcoming capabilities prior to and at release
  • Owning demand and development requests

What we're looking for:


  • Proven experienced Systems or Project Lead, manager with practical understanding of delivering new technology, or change on existing technologies
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new demand, and being able to lead assessment against impact to strategy, architecture, and technology roadmap
  • Drive for results; able to juggle priorities, multitask and execute flawlessly at speed
  • Broad experience Partnering with Technology and other change agents to ensure collaborative delivery

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Educated to bachelor's degree level in a relevant discipline or relevant business experience with a proven track record of personal and professional achievements
  • Financial services and banking industry background
  • Broad understanding of the full end to end Procurement supply chain processes, technologies, and architecture
  • Proven knowledge of the Global Procurement strategy and experience in Procurement processes

Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford.

The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command Centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations.

The campus is set in a 64acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
