We have an exciting new opportunity and are currently looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated Head of Gardens to join the team in our Works and Estates department on a full time, permanent basis, 40 hours per week.

About the role:


General estate duties will also be from required from time to time such as snow clearing, helping on other teams such as Golf and Grounds and anything else reasonable for the college to ask.


Key responsibilities (Please see JD for full requirements):

  • To assist the Head of Gardens with the day to day running and management of the college gardens and the gardens team.
  • Liaising with the Grounds and Gardens manager as required.
  • To maintain and use all machinery as appropriate and help train staff to use it.
  • To help create work plans, planting schemes and training programs for staff
  • Gritting roads and path ways as directed by senior staff.
