Accountant (Controlling) - Daresbury, United Kingdom - Absolute Commercial
Description
The Controlling function provides financial analysis and decision-making support to the business. TheAccountant (Controlling) role provides support to the Director to achieve the set objectives.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Providing planning and analysis support for industry specific management of the business
- Financial analysis and reporting for informed decision making and high performance
- Preparing and controlling budgets, forecasts and other planning processes
- Preparing approval requests
- Preparing investment decisions and related business cases
- Strategic and adhoc projects
- Reconciliation of Global and EMEA data to local systems
- Maintaining and developing business intelligence systems and solutions
- Business procedures, controls and risk assessments
Key skills and experience required:
- Recognised Accounting qualification is essential (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience working in either practice or industry will be considered
- Excellent analytical skillsExternal audit and internal controls experience
- Ability to communicate strongly across business functions
- Strong IT skills
- Office 365 (Excel and Powerpoint in particular)
- Knowledge of SAP would be preferred
- Strong team player
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload within a busy environment
- Ability to show initiative
Currently 3 days in the office/2 working from home
Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
