Cedar has partnered with a global manufacturing business. They are urgently searching for an experienced Finance Executive, with Dimensions and FocalPoint experience, to join their organisation.


Salary:
£125 - £145 a day


Location:
Bloomsbury, London (Hybrid)

This is a temp to perm role supporting the Finance Manager by ensuring systems are updated and maintained whilst preparing management accounts within agreed time lines and complete statutory submissions

Sales Ledger processing

  • Invoices / Credit Notes processed using the FDF CRM and Finance package
  • Raise Sales Orders when required
  • Resolve queries with users including how to use the systems
  • Credit Control using agreed escalation process and saving communication in CRM
  • Review and reconcile the Sales Ledger control account investigating outstanding items
  • Prepare and distribute customer statements
  • Manage Customer records including new account set up in Finance package
  • Reconcile and close ledger each month
  • Prepare information for bimonthly MAG meeting
Purchase Ledger processing

  • Invoices / Credit Notes processed in using the Purchase Order policy
  • Raise Purchase Orders when required
  • Resolve queries with users including how to use the systems
  • Follow up invoice authorisations in a timely manner
  • Process monthly payment run, ad hoc and cashbook payments / receipts
  • Review and reconcile the Purchase Ledger control account investigating outstanding items
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Manage Supplier records including new account set up
  • Reconcile and close ledger each month
Associations

  • Process sales and purchase ledger Invoices and credit notes using Finance package
  • Prepare quarterly Management accounts for review by Finance Manager
  • Prepare and submit VAT and Corporation Tax returns
Controllership

  • Balance Sheet and sub ledger reconciliations
  • Identify areas for improving existing systems and processes
  • Assist with the annual audit
  • Maintain instructions relevant to the purchase and sales processes
  • Provide monthly data for Finance Team KPI's
  • Update weekly cashflow forecast

Required Skills:


  • Minimum of a AAT qualification
  • Experience of working for a trade association or similar memberled organisation would be desirable
  • Experience of VAT
  • Experience with Dimensions, FocalPoint, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Good communicator
  • Diligent with a good attention to detail
