Our client has an opportunity for a part-time Financial Controller for - 4 days per week, covering for the running of the Finance team.

This role requires an individual with a proactive and flexible outlook and someone who is prepared to roll their sleeves up to ensure the successful running of a commercial finance function.

Reporting into a Finance Director the main responsibilities will include:

Working with the Finance Director to manage, motivate and develop the Finance team
Ensuring the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management pack and flash reports for operational management
Maintaining and improving a system of controls over accounting transactions
Providing clear and concise financial information to Senior Management to support commercial and operational decision
Management of daily financial operations
Calculating and issuing financial and operating metrics
Preparing and reviewing payroll information processed by an external bureau
Calculating variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
Providing financial analyses as needed, for capital investments, pricing decisions, margin analysis and key variance analyses
External compliance reporting included liaison with HMRC, bankers, accountants and advisers where required

Seeking someone with great analysis and reporting skills, good experience of running a finance function (debt collection, supplier payments and statutory reporting), experience of improving and systemising processes.

Good communication and team working skills.
