Our client has an opportunity for a part-time Financial Controller for - 4 days per week, covering for the running of the Finance team.


This role requires an individual with a proactive and flexible outlook and someone who is prepared to roll their sleeves up to ensure the successful running of a commercial finance function.

Reporting into a Finance Director the main responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the Finance Director to manage, motivate and develop the Finance team
  • Ensuring the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management pack and flash reports for operational management
  • Maintaining and improving a system of controls over accounting transactions
  • Providing clear and concise financial information to Senior Management to support commercial and operational decision
  • Management of daily financial operations
  • Calculating and issuing financial and operating metrics
  • Preparing and reviewing payroll information processed by an external bureau
  • Calculating variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
  • Providing financial analyses as needed, for capital investments, pricing decisions, margin analysis and key variance analyses
  • External compliance reporting included liaison with HMRC, bankers, accountants and advisers where required


Seeking someone with great analysis and reporting skills, good experience of running a finance function (debt collection, supplier payments and statutory reporting), experience of improving and systemising processes.

Good communication and team working skills.
