    Job Title: Registered Mental Health Nurse

    We are seeking a skilled Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team on the Seren Unit at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The successful candidate will provide assessment and treatment to older adults with dementia diagnosis.

    Main Responsibilities:

    1. Utilizing the Mental Health Measure 2012 framework, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs in collaboration with the individual, agreeing realistic outcomes.
    2. Participate in Care and Treatment reviews as part of the multi-disciplinary team, contributing to clinical discussions and reporting on patient conditions to other professionals when required.
    3. As a team member, contribute to case formulation, report on patient conditions, and provide written reports for Mental Health Tribunals as necessary.
    4. Adhere to Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board policies and procedures in all aspects of clinical practice.
    5. Accurately and promptly report accidents, incidents, or complaints received to the Unit Manager.

    About Us:

    Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is part of the NHS Wales family, providing primary, secondary, and community health services to approximately 450,000 people in three County Boroughs.

    Salary:

    An estimated salary range of £28,412 - £41,129 per annum, depending on experience.

    Requirements:

    • Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification
    • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Health Measure
    • Awareness of relevant government legislation

    Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

    • Knowledge of Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB's modernization of service plan
    • Evidence of postgraduate study
    • Ability to speak Welsh

    Experience:

    • Experience as a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse or new registrant
    • Multi-disciplinary and/or multi-agency working experience
