Role Overview


We are currently recruiting for a Site Security Supervisor/ Manager to join our passionate and driven Security team based at our client's site in Birstall.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Protect company property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Monitor and authorise entrance and departure of employees, visitors and delivery persons ensuring maintenance of security on the site.
  • Respond promptly to any site alarms and investigate disturbances where required and record, log and escalate actions as appropriate.
  • Develop safety plans for the site/building reporting findings to the Client/ Account Manager.
  • Inspect security system equipment to ensure no tampering and complete site safety patrols as instructed.
  • To manage holidays, sickness and absence within company guideline and ensure service standards are met.
  • Managing, training, and assessing performance of the entire security personnel.
  • To work with HR advisor in managing the welfare of all security staff and to adhere to HR policies covering all areas of managing employees within a security function.
  • Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms.
  • Review reports on incidents and breaches
  • Investigate and resolve issues.
  • To manage excellent relationships with our client, our suppliers and other partners.
  • To ensure the site are performing to SIA standard at all times.
  • To ensure assignment instructions/ SOP's are trained out.
  • To ensure safe working practices and environment for the team.
  • To ensure no dropped shifts and hours fully covered to service contract.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

About You:


  • Experience working in a security management role, min 3 years' experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Security compliance.
  • Experience in managing and leading multiperson security teams over multiple sites.
  • Excellent IT skills (Excel, Outlook/Calendar, Word etc.) are essential.
  • Health & Safety management & risk assessment awareness (IOSH)
  • Have a valid first aid certificate and SIA licence including CCTV.
  • Professional work attitude with a drive to get the best out of your teams.
  • Effective communicator both orally and in writing
