of Role

The Legal Claims Hander is responsible for the receipt of the initial instructions and initial matter creation and associated checks to support risk assessment

Role Requirements and Responsibilities


Primary Duties
Logging and verifying Client's signed Forms of Authority and Completed Questionnaire on the Case Management System

  • Requesting and verifying required documentation from the Client/CMC
  • DSAR Reviews including Limitation and Out of Scope Reviews
  • Carrying out the Welcome Call with the Client
  • Request all relevant information from the relevant parties as soon as the need is identified
  • Reviewing Quantum Reports and evidence in respect of the clients claim
  • Preparing quantum calculations and offers to the defendant including advice to the client
  • Preparing the case up to Letter of Claim being sent to defendants
  • File management including individual task list and exception report management
  • All necessary calls and correspondence with the Client, Defendant and third parties in the initial stages of the Client's claim.
  • Being proactive in your approach to the role by researching the area of law you practice in and keeping up to date with all relevant case law and industry updates.

Attributes & Competencies Required

  • Required_
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact confidently with both staff and members of the public
  • English GCSE (grade 91, A-C or Key Skills Level 2 or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to plan, manage and prioritise workloads
  • Flexible approach to working as some evening and weekend work might be required to meet the Client's needs
  • Capability to undertake all assignments in a timely manner
  • Desirable_
  • Knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection

Salary:
£16,000.00-£28,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Sheffield,

South Yorkshire:
reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)


Experience:

Claims Processing: 1 year (preferred)
