A position has just become available for a Hire Desk Controller position near Liverpool. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our growing team on a full-time basis. Elite GSS Ltd is a market leading supplier of non-mechanical products for hire and sale, these include and are not exclusive to Portable Trackway, Event Flooring and Commercial and Industrial Matting Solutions both for Sale and Hire.

Servicing the Construction, Civil Engineering Utility and Event and Leisure sectors we provide products such as Portable Trackway and Roadways, Wooden Timber Mats, Event Flooring, Non-Slip and Anti-Fatigue Matting, and Pedestrian Walkways.


You will be based near St Helens, with a relaxed but professional atmosphere with easy access by car from all main routes.

You'll be working within a team environment, the role would be in brief;

  • First point of contact for the customer;
  • Checking availability of equipment and ensuring that equipment statuses are always up to date on our systems;
  • Coordinating with the customer service and transport teams to ensure that the correct products are ready, arranging delivery to customer sites;
  • Communicating effectively with other colleagues and providing a helpful and friendly point of contact for the depot enquiries;
  • Dealing with any adhoc issues that may come your way.
  • Previous experience in a busy hire environment;
  • Understanding of plant, equipment tools or material industries;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages;
  • CRM systems;
  • Good communication skills both orally and written


This would be a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individuation who is looking for the next stage in their career, you will have at least 1-2 years' experience working in a customer service, hire desk environment would be beneficial, with the ability to demonstrate exemplary customer service skills.


Ambitious to progress up the career path through continuous learning, and open mind for future development, you should have the self-motivation and enthusiasm to work on your own initiative in a busy office environment, strong team player with the ability to communicate at all levels, and sound IT knowledge including MS Office programmes, and ideally CRM systems.


Your current / previous role, or the type of position you are looking for could include, Customer Service Representative, Sales Support, Telesales, Hire Desk Support or similar.

£24-26k PA DOE + Company Bonuses and Private Medical Care - Full time, Permanent
