Enterprise-Wide Technology


Enterprise-Wide Technology is the UK Technology Function which services the UK KPMG Firm through the delivery of core technology related innovation and collaboration services.

We will strive to ensure that our technology solutions and assets are fit for purpose and will support the delivery of the large transformation programmes across KPMG.

We will own the strategic implementation of core Infrastructure Platforms and products and will focus on modernising our current Infrastructure estate.


Transformation and Change


KPMG's award-winning Digital Workplace team are responsible for all end user tools which provide the ability to connect, collaborate and communicate.

Microsoft is at the heart of our enterprise stack with M365, Teams and a Windows Desktop providing a large portion of the estate.

The network is also key to the success of these products and a good user experience.


The Role


The Digital Labs team is a small multi skilled team that look after all of the technical aspects of the Digital Workplace portfolio which comprises of many technologies including the Microsoft stack, 3rd party collaboration SaaS tools, workplace technologies and the network.


Key Responsibilities

  • Test new and existing products ensuring that they work against an agreed design and provide a good user experience.
  • Work collaboratively with the product owners to ensure a product is effective and plot its roadmap
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation for our products including low level configuration or design and checking user documentation is correct from a technical perspective
  • Fully understand a products behaviour and user experience, understand how policy changes effect behaviour, and assess any network impact.
  • Troubleshoot to resolution any escalated issues including leasing with 3rd party vendors.
- research a products' roadmap, policy changes and lifecycle and feed this into the product management framework.
- build in depth knowledge of the functionality of products within the portfolio
- being able to advise on how a product works, how it could fit or should be used
- contribute to building the support model of a product

  • Analyse how to test new features or products, build test plans and execute and document testing and outcomes
  • Plan change to production and consider how they may affect risk and compliance
  • Take technical ownership of tools in the portfolio

The Person


We are looking for a bright, self-driven and enthusiastic person with a technical background to work within a small collaborative multi skilled technical team in our office in London.


Essential Skills and Experience

  • At least 5 years in the IT industry
  • Be inquisitive to how technology works and learn quickly
  • Experience of supporting the Microsoft 365 stack
  • Administration of an MDM specifically with iOS
  • Have a number of years troubleshooting Windows 10
  • A good understanding of networking technologies
  • Be effective in managing time and 3rd parties to deliver against deadlines

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience of supporting Microsoft Teams telephony and knowledge of Teams policies.
  • Good working knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory in hybrid configuration
  • Have hands on knowledge of creating and understanding the impact of policies within Microsoft Endpoint Manager
  • Knowledge of unified communication platforms and technologies and conferencing tools
  • Network configuration skills including defining firewall rules, basic routing and IP subnetting
  • The ability to create script's in PowerShell to interface with 3rd Party SaaS solution using APIs
  • Have a working knowledge of the operation of SAML
