Senior Hardware Engineer - Biotechnology - Cambridge


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced hardware design engineer to join a pioneer of biotechnology tools at their site in Cambridge.

As a Hardware Design Engineer you be utilising your experience to design, build, and maintain state-of-the-art biosensing instrumentation.

This will include PCB design, testing and validation, electronics prototyping as well as some light software developmentwork such as firmware and software to collect data and test rig automation.


This is an exciting time to join this company and work on the future products, which are at the intersection of biology and electronics, a rapidly expanding field with scope for more growth.

To be considered for this exciting role you will need to have the following;

  • Previous experience with PCB design and embedded systems development, with Altium and C++/Python respectively.
  • Experience in 2D and 3D mechanical design
  • Any knowledge of microfabrication processes and nanomaterial devices would be extremely beneficial.
