The Apprenticeship Unit is recruiting an Enhanced Level Skills Coach for the Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) Degree Apprenticeship to join their thriving apprenticeship team.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity Leave.

About the role:


As (Registered Health and Social Care Professional) Skills Coach, you will be required to develop and manage positive relationships with both ACP apprentices and employers within the healthcare sector, acting as an important bridge between the university setting and the workplace.


You will be the apprentice's, their Practice Supervisor and Practice Assessor's first point of contact providing ongoing appropriate clinical, professional and pastoral support.

You will advise on learning and development opportunities in the workplace and signpost to relevant academic and professional services support.


Line managed by the Programme Manager for Degree Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care, you will collaborate within the School of Nursing and Public Health, and Department of Health Professions, working in close partnership with the Programme Lead and with colleagues from the Apprenticeship Unit.


About you:


You must hold current NMC or HCPC registration as you will utilise your professional and clinical experience to develop and lead clinical workshops and tutorials in response to clinical needs.

You will provide support and feedback on apprentices' work-based learning both clinically and professionally, carrying out termly workplace visits to support the apprenticeship journey


Duration:

12-month fixed term contract (Maternity leave); 37 hours
