We are looking to expand our established team with this exciting opportunity for a part-time Medical Secretary to work in the Cellular Pathology Department at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.

This is a forward thinking, innovative department which provides Cellular Pathology diagnostic services to the whole of BCUHB.

You will need to be highly motivated, flexible in approach, be able to use your initiative in sometimes complex situations, to provide an excellent administration support to the department, contributing to the delivery of an effective and efficient service in a professional, sensitive and helpful manner.

You will work as part of a team supporting other team members and will need to work closely with a range of staff.

The working days are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.


The Team Secretary Function Provides An accurate, confidential and supportive administration service for Pathologists, and departmental managers in order to provide a safe and efficient patient pathway.

The post holder will support the delivery of a comprehensive high quality secretarial administrative service.


Scope of the Role:

To support the co-ordination of the administration arrangements to provide a high quality supportive secretarial service to the Cellular Pathology Department clinical, administrative and management teams.

To work independently and be accountable for
organising/prioritising own workload to ensure deadlines are met.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
