Learning Support Assistant Pastoral
An exciting opportunity to support pupils with SEN/SEMH in a Secondary for the academic year whilst experiencing working life in a school

Perhaps you have a passion for pastoral support rather than academic support?

Do you have experience working with young people who may have special educational needs or other social, emotional and mental health needs?

There is a huge demand across Secondary Schools in Manchester for passionate people to support SEN and SEMH pupils in a pastoral role.

We are looking to give an engaging and resilient graduate the opportunity to gain paid experience, whilst making a difference, before going onto further training in education

Here at i-teachers we are currently working with a number of primary, secondary and sixth form colleges across Manchester and Greater Manchester who are keen to appoint talented, driven and considerate graduates in a pastoral support assistant role.

The role is ideally suited for a graduate who is high achieving and ambitious, looking to gain paid experience in a support role within education prior to moving in to either teaching training or educational psychology.

You will provide support in lessons, identifying causes and triggers of pupil problems and working on strategies to support individual pupils.

Providing 1:1 support and mentoring small groups of pupils will be the main basis of the role.

As a pastoral support assistant you will liaise with parents, carers, teachers and colleagues in order to establish support plans to best help students throughout their academic year.

If this sounds interesting to you, please send your CV to Holly at i-teachers today.
