We have an exciting opportunity for a Liability Team Leader where you will be for managing a team of liability claims handlers, ensuring the provision of a best-in-class claims service and that claims are handled efficiently, whilst controlling indemnity spend.
You will lead through example, providing quality customer service, answering customer inquiries, effectively handling customer complaints and review payments for authorisation within set financial boundaries.
What will I be doing?:
- Audit claims and calls, data, observation, and file audits to understand strengths and gaps
- Assist with the training of new recruits, or retraining of current employees when required
- Provide weekly and monthly performance reports to the Senior Leadership team highlighting any change in performance, KYO trends, etc
- Liaise and build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure accurate, timely, and good performance, together with adherence to SLA's
- Work closely with other teams and departments to ensure consistency and best practice
- Assist the Claims department with any queries and handle more technical claims where appropriate
What do I need?:
- Experience of handling liability claims within motor insurance essential
- Credit Hire and personal injury experience desirable
- Excellent knowledge of case laws and liability
- Ability to digest information and relay to others
- Evidence of a continued record of working to high standards
- High standard of spoken and written communication skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
