Job Purpose:


  • Ulster University is seeking to employ a Research Associate to play a key role in the AHRC funded project, _Future Island-Island: Green Transition Ecosystem_. This post offers an exciting opportunity for a researcher to work with a team of investigators on a national research project. Green Transition Ecosystems (GTEs) are large scale projects that focus on translating the best designled research into realworld benefits. Capitalising on clusters of design excellence, GTEs will address distinct challenges posed by the climate crisis, including but not limited to realising net zero goals. This GTE is led by Ulster University and includes Queens University, Glasgow School of Art and University of the Arts London as well as 12 company coinvestigators and 18 external partners from industry, the public sector and the community.
  • The postholder will be required to liaise and work with a diverse range of stakeholders associated with the project and will play an important role in supporting the research team to draft, publish and disseminate the findings and recommendations of the research in both academic and nonacademic outlets. This includes the interpretation of research into valueadded products through the design process. They will also be involved in the organisation of workshops, outreach activities, and impact events.
