An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to to ensure the safety and wellbeing of learners as an Attendance Officer.

Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students?

Do you have experience monitoring attendance?

Attendance Officer The Role:

Full-time long-term attendance officer role
Paid /week
Responsible for establishing the reason for non-attendance
Making assessments and agreeing plans for facilitating return to school using appropriate strategies within specified timescales
Initiate appropriate legal action with Education Welfare Service (EWS) to ensure the school is carrying out its statutory responsibility in respect of learners,

Creating reports and submitting data to the DFE and appropriate bodies, to ensure the school is fully compliant at all times.

Secondary school with academy status in Acocks Green, Birmingham

Attendance Officer Applicant Requirements:

Have experience of supporting learners in a school environment
Previous administrative experience
Knowledge of school attendance legislation
Passionate about supporting academic success as well as the physical and emotional welfare of young people
