Our client is seeking a part-time Property Management Accounts assistant to work in their Harrogate office.
Job description:
As part of the Property Management Accounts team, you will be responsible for a variety of finance related tasks.
The role covers all aspects of Property Management accounts including the daily allocation of receipts and payments and ensuring all the records on the Property Management software and associated reports are correctly maintained.
You will work closely with other members of the property management team to ensure all aspects of the role are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the accurate daily processing of activity on the client bank account allocating to the correct client records;
- Processing cheques and allocating to client records;
- Investigating and reallocating any discrepancies;
- Process new tenancies, liaising with the Lettings and Property Managers to complete these correctly;
- Ensuring bank details of Landlords, Tenants and Suppliers are all verified before payments are made;
- Managing tenant deposits / supporting the Lettings and Property Managers to ensure that deposits are transferred to TDS at the correct time;
- Raising invoices as required;
- Accurately process and reconcile any adhoc credits and debits investigating any anomalies;
- Reprint any historical statements for clients, as requested;
- Processing and managing supplier and client payment runs;
- Processing bank transfers from client to office account to pay outstanding debtors;
- Ensuring that client funds are ring fenced at the appropriate time to ensure that liabilities can be discharged by us timely, this includes our own management and ad hoc fees;
- Ensure that client accounts are clean and straight at the end of a tenancy with no outstanding balances;
- Provide training and guidance to finance team members to enable them to carry out PM accounts tasks during holiday periods;
- You are expected to adhere to the Company Standards of Service and carry out any other reasonable duties required by the business.

Essential:
- Previous property management accounts experience or equivalent;
- Experience of working within a finance department;
- Strong communication skills;
- Excellent IT skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
- High attention to detail / accuracy;
- Highly organised and ability to multi task;
- Selfmotivated.
Desirable:
- Understanding of the Reapit PM system
- Experience of processing payroll
- Understanding of RICs compliance;
- Understanding of the Company's products and services.
