Finance Director - AB Dairy

Location:
Peterborough / Hybrid

We have an excellent opportunity for a senior finance professional to join our team.

Our new global dairy business was recently formed by bringing together the expertise of specialist businesses from across the AB Agri community.

Our intent is to becomea global dairy technology leader and be seen as the go-to-partner for progressive dairy farming solutions globally.

AB Dairy has an ambitious growth strategy - the acquisition of businesses along with organic growth projects are key pillars of this strategy and therefore this role has a direct and immediate impact.

This is a highly commercial role with significant influenceover business direction and decisions.

The role will be responsible for leading our financial decision-making, and will provide strategic financial input to our senior management team, whilst overseeing the overall financial control and accounting process.

What you'll be doing:

As a member of the Global Dairy Leadership team you'll contribute to the high level commercial and strategic business development planning, and Interface with key customers/business partners to support commercial managers as required
Provide leadership for the finance function, setting direction in line with business strategy
Have a key role in the strategic development of the business through input into strategic decision making, evaluation of development opportunities and facilitation of transactions and projects
Manage the production of periodic management information making and developing use of information systems
Satisfying AB Agri and ABF group requirements in terms of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasts
Challenge the business through use of budgets and forecasts to deliver continually improving performance
Ensure stability and suitability of financial systems and operation of financial controls to minimise business risk

What you'll bring:

Professional accounting qualification (ACA,CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent
Divisional/board level financial role experience
Having the personal presence and credibility to interact with and influence business direction
Ability to make business and commercial judgements and to argue strongly for the optimum outcome
Strong business and financial acumen. Proven ability to set activities in a commercial and financial context
Strong people management skills ability to create a vision and lead others towards its achievement

Location
For this role we are looking for flexibility across a hybrid approach defined by business need.
Our Head office is in Peterborough and this role may require visits to other AB Dairy and customer sites.
