Are you an Administrator with great attention to detail who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, where you can make a difference to our patients? An exciting opportunity has become available for a part time Research Administrative Assistant to join the Research Delivery Team at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust based at Lincoln County Hospital.


This post will priniciply support trial in Family Health (Paediatric's, Reproductive Health and Gyne) along with trials in Clinial Support Services (CSS), curenlty Haematology and Oncology trials are dominant however different trials in CSS such as Radiology focused trials are being developed.

Main duties of the job

  • General administrative support to all Research Staff.
  • Photocopying, distribution and filing of documents within appropriate research documentation files.
  • Sending and receiving documents for the Research staff.
  • General typing duties including patient letters, patient Information, posters etc.
  • Processing and maintaining research documentation.
  • Recording patient details and entering data on various different electronic systems.
  • Retrieval and tracking of case notes when required.
  • Answering telephone enquiries from patients and professionals including liaising with staff within and outside of the hospital.
  • To maintain adequate levels of general and stationery supplies, reordering as necessary
  • Adhere to Trust, Directorate and Departmental Policies including Health, Safety, Fire and Risk Assessment. Willing to embrace opportunities to undertake relevant training and develop skills as required.
  • Involvement in supporting staff with basic lab procedures and the handling of biological samples for transfer to national and international laboratories.
