Description

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Dispensing Assistant to join our Pharmacy team, working at Sherwood Forest Hospitals trust.


You must:


  • Hold a BTEC/NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Service Skills (or equivalent).
  • Have experience working as a Pharmacy/Dispensing Assistant.
  • To label and dispense prescriptions.


  • Reception Duties

  • Receive prescriptions from patients, carers and other Trust staff.
  • Preparing medicines and drug charts to be returned to the wards and clinics.
  • Filing of prescriptions.
  • Counselling patients on their medications.
  • Maintenance of stock, stationary and sundries in the dispensary.
  • General housekeeping duties.
