Here is what a Resilience Worker in the team had to say:
  • 'My job is really varied, I can be in schools talking about consent and healthy relationships, out in the community running group sessions about drugs and alcohol or supporting young people with getting involved in activities like boxing or running club. I get to spend every day working with young people and seeing the difference you can make to a young person's life makes my job feel so rewarding. I love how supportive our team is and the passion and care we all have for our young people and their families. We are always open to trying new ways of working if it is beneficial for the young people we are supporting and that is a great thing to be a part of.'_
The role is very rewarding though it can be emotionally taxing. The team are very supportive and are always available for a de-brief. There is other support in place such as supervision, a training and induction package, shadowing and team meetings.
