Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a Network Engineer, to support the MOD's military satellite communications system.

The contract includes the services necessary to support the current infrastructure, as wellas the successful transition and continuous delivery of service for future operations.

You will be supporting their Bristol based team in a mostly Remote based role with only occasional stakeholders' meetings.

Rate:
£65-90p/hr UMB (depending upon experience)

Location:
Remote, reporting site is Bristol

Duration: 6 months+

Requirements:
Current security clearance is required at SC level minimum.

Role Responsibilities:

  • 2nd and 3rd line support
  • Testing & Integration of the solution
  • Review and delivery into service of VoIP and WiFi end to end service
  • Contributing to Continuous Service Improvement, development roadmap and KPI reporting
  • Proactive in your approach, you'll have excellent leadership skills combined with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment with new and exciting challenges each day.
Experience Required

  • Demonstrable experience in the defence or telecommunication industry
  • Experience supporting IT equipment network management tools, ideally Fortigate Firewalls, LAN/WAN, BMC Remedy, ITSM
  • Understanding of change and configuration control process, and service reporting
  • Ideally have experience managing Wi-Fi access point & controller infrastructure
  • Ideally have experience using Aruba ClearPass (or equivalent)
  • Experience developing and supporting VoIP solutions
