Role Overview - Senior Project Engineer


Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer, are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer with a particular focus on supply chain engineering.

Based out of a state-of-the-art facility in Wolverhampton the successful Senior Project Engineer willprovide technical project management between the engineering project teams and suppliers.

Role Responsibilities - Senior Project Engineer

  • Act as the Primary Technical Focal between the business and Assigned Suppliers.
  • Technical delivery in line with requirements, budget and schedule.
  • Resolve technical issues between the Project Teams and the assigned suppliers.
  • Lead engineering investigations and root cause activities with assigned suppliers.
  • Oversight of supplier's design and development process. This will include guidance for risk mitigation testing, buy off of critical design reviews, planning and execution of qualification testing.
  • As required, report up to management and support regular review/progress meetings.

Skills and Experience - Senior Project Engineer

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Proven Project Engineer experience related to the Design, Development and Qualification of Complex Systems.
  • Aerospace or related industry experience working with safety critical products
  • Proven experience working with technical suppliers.
  • Sound experience of requirements management and Validation and Verification.
  • Experience identifying critical to quality characteristics and the use of industry Standard Tools such as APQP, DFMEA and PFMEA.
  • Highly proficient providing technical briefs to stakeholders (Internal or External).
