Electrical Fitter (Production)

Salary:
£28,000 - £32,000 per annum (negotiable, depending upon experience)

Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of high specification machinery; from free-standing semi-automatic equipment to fully automatic turn-key production lines.

Due to a growing customer base that demands greater and greater customisation of machinery, they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Fitter to carry out panel wiring and electrical fitting of special purpose machinery, supplied to the pharmaceutical, food, beverage, and chemical industries.

Key Accountabilities

Wiring of panels from electrical schematics and "red marking" errors with corrections
Wiring of machines (AC motors, CPU's conveyors, safety systems & sensors etc)
Earth bond testing, general inspection and fault finding.
To run various cables throughout the machine and to terminate with identification labels.
Basic mechanical fitting i.e., panel layout work working from technical drawings, marking out, drilling, hole punching, thread cutting, etc.
Maintain Production build documentation and complete forms as required by inhouse procedures.
Liaise with inhouse personnel as required to resolve build and design issues.
Undertake various other duties as reasonably requested by your manager and/or the company.

Requirements:

Electrical Engineering qualification (ONC or City & Guilds) or Timeserved apprenticeship or relevant experience
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics/drawings.
Experience with wiring panels, HMI controls, servos, drives & various electrical components.
Good knowledge of electrical principles
General IT skills
Good communication skills, problem solving abilities, able to use own initiative, able to work to tight deadlines, under pressure.
