Job Title:
Head of Health, Safety, and Compliance


Reports to:
Operations Director


Reports:
Health Safety Compliance Manager


Base:
Manchester or London. Home working is also possible on flexible days.


Working hours:37.5 hours per week.


Salary:
Up to £70K depending on experience.


Time Scale:
Full time, permanent.


Start date:
ASAP, depending on notice period.

CORE MISSION:

This role will own the full end to end health, safety, and compliance requirements for the HSPG Group ensuring perfect governance both internally and externally.


This role needs to have a deep understanding of the health and safety environment, and the desire to constantly enhance their knowledge, keeping up to date with legislation and training requirements in order to drive the health, safety, and compliance strategy within the business.


This role will cover board level health, safety, and compliance reporting and will involve presenting to the board and fielding questions.

This role will also cover the reporting requirements for our funders and partners.

This role will act as the Responsible Person for HSPG and PPHA, also taking the lead on fire safety.

This role will ensure that HSPG is meeting data protection requirements and take the role of Data Protection Officer.


The role will be responsible for putting in place effective risk management practices and ensuring a robust and regularly tested disaster recovery plan is implemented.

SPECIFIC SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
_The ability to do something well._

  • Minimum of 5 years holding a senior role within Health, Safety & Compliance.
  • Experienced in Fire Safety.
  • Qualified in NEBOSH General certificate in Health and Safety.
  • Expert Analytical Skills.
  • Experienced in the preparation of board reports and working in a regulatory environment.

Salary:
£60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
