Role - Senior Commercial Analyst
Location - Remote
Salary - £50,000 - £65,000

An exciting opporutnity to join a global market intelligence business.

This role will sit within the busy commercial finance team and be responsible for providing bespoke analysis to support decisions, proactively improving the data in Salesforce and workingwith the Head of Commercial Analysis to provide new insight and improve existing processes.


Up coming and ongoing projects include:

  • Improving detail in current Tableau KPI suite -currently adding Price vs Volume analysis for all of the products across the group to better explain yield changes.
  • Report migration working with Salesforce and other IT Developers to improve the reporting architecture, such as setting up a reporting database to facilitate automated/realtime reporting
  • Process automation working with other teams to identify processes that should be automated and delivered by an analytics team. E.g. month end accounting processes, Sales reporting, HR calculations/reporting.

Responsibilties include:


  • Manage and support the monthly KPI reporting process and the creation of Tableau dashboards, working with KPI Analysts and FPA Managers across the group to ensure KPI's reflect commercial reality.
  • Provide technical support and commercial guidance to solve issues identified by the KPI, Finance and Sales Operations teams.
  • Ensure the KPI dashboards are accurate and delivered on time through the creation of data sets and the review of outputs. Create and distribute the monthly reconciliation pack versus the management accounts and the monthly review schedule to the regionalteams.
  • Ensure value adding metrics including parent company, market segment and product are correctly reported.
  • Work with the Head of Commercial Analysis to improve processes using Alteryx and other tools to deliver new insight from the Tableau KPIs e.g. explaining yield through price and volume.
  • Manage and review the weekly renewals and new business reporting process through working with the KPI Analysts and FPA Managers across the group e.g. the opportunity type, last year price, product type and quantity are correct.
  • Review the historic new business levels and align the activity to the Tableau KPI classifications of new logo, new product, upsell and winback. Ensure future opportunities are recorded correctly in Salesforce.
  • Support finance stakeholders, including the Director of Strategic and Commercial Analysis and colleagues across the group through providing bespoke analysis using output from the Tableau KPIs, the weekly reports, Salesforce, and external data to answerquestions including customers, products, price, sales performance, and market segmentation.

Experience required:

  • Excellent excel skills (VBA/Macros etc)
  • Strong relationship building personal skills
  • 3+ years experience within a value add analytical role
  • Expereince working with Alteryx and Tableau, salesforce would also be advantageous
  • Highly numeric with excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, working accurately with attention to detail, and meeting deadlines in a flexible working environment
  • Excellent English verbal and literacy skills are essential
