Key aspects of the role includes: two days a week dedicated to Fetal Medicine and Surgery work with the North West Network to develop and support the Fetal Medicine network meetings and MDT The aspects of the research component includes: developing a working knowledge of the regulatory, governance and ethical frameworks relevant to clinical studies in obstetrics. Support the research activity in the Fetal Medicine Unit contributing to the set-up and conduct of NIHR portfolio studies including medical assessment of eligibility, consent and data collection. Working with the research team, the successful candidate will identify a particular area of our research portfolio and set up clinical research studies suitable for a higher degree (MPhil or MD) in addition we would expect the successful candidate to undertake the advanced professional module in Clinical Research.
