We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic individual to join the FISS Secretarial Teams, assisting in providing a Typing admin support to our Consultants and clinical team, to deliver a safe and efficient service within the Division.
Job Summary:
- To provide efficient audio typing using EPRO/Scrik and general administration support services within a department
- To perform all allocated secretarial and administration tasks required meeting the needs of the service
- To work flexibly across specialty teams as and when required, providing administrative support to the consultants and senior medical secretary
Key Responsibilities:
- Audio typing of correspondence
- Preparing patient results/correspondence for scanning to Evolve
- Issuing and sending correspondence
- Preparation of documents for meetings/clinics

The post holder will:
- Audio type correspondence using Epro/Scrik
- Contact other hospitals/units and GP's as necessary ensuring confidentiality and security procedures are followed
- Receive and deal with correspondence and forward to appropriate departments
- Ensure outgoing mail is segregated and marked correctly, utilising appropriate postal systems.
The post holder will:
- Have effective communication skills required to interact with staff at all levels
- Be competent in the use of MS word/outlook/excel.
- Be able to audio type.
- Build and maintain constructive relationships and networks of people both inside and outside the Trust.
- Confident and approachable in order to provide an excellent service to users
- Effective organisational skills
