Our client provides a range of innovative services to help vulnerable women avoid, survive and exit the criminal justice system.

They are now recruiting for a Women's Health Advocate, as part of their Healthy Foundations Project, to provide health-based support and advocacy for women affected by the Criminal Justice System.

This position is offered on a temporary basis, initially until the end of march 2023, based in Stockwell (Hybrid).


As a Women's Health Advocate, you will deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons and provide Through the Gate the support to women leaving custody.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide advice and advocacy to women around their healthcare needs, including attending GP and hospital appointments, as women leave prison and whilst living in the community.

The project particularly focuses on physical health but also provides support with low level mental health needs, and includes delivering community health-related workshops and groups.

You will be Managing a caseload of women and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.


To be considered, you must be in possession of a fully enhanced DBS check, issued within the last year or registered to the online update service and be available with no more that 1-2 weeks' notice period.


Please note this is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, you will be based in their Stockwell office Mondays and Fridays and 3 days working from home, as well as meeting service users in the community across London.
