Description
***- To Actively contribute within the Portfolio Control Team, providing support to the first line and second line Teams, working closely with Commercial and Private Bankers and their Executives to ensure the lending book is well controlled and monitored effectively.

  • Assist with managing and monitoring the Bank's portfolios of Government Backed Lending Schemes (CBILS, RLS, BBLs).
  • Producing weekly and monthly reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Assist with creating and updating process and procedure changes to assist the frontline teams.
  • Support the team's various projects on Lending improvements.
Where applicable, to place the interests of customers at the centre of all activities, act in a way that is consistent with achieving good outcomes for consumers; and to comply with the FCA and PRA's Conduct Rules


Key Responsibilities:


Risk Management

  • Assist Portfolio Control Executives in monitoring risk issues across the lending book.
  • Assist with the management of a portfolio of front office procedures to ensure they remain up to date and accurate and are reviewed in line with the review cycle.
  • Monitor covenants across both Commercial and Private businesses.
  • Assist with maintaining a log of Conditions Subsequent to advise Bankers when the Condition is due to be completed by and to monitor timely completion.
  • Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures.

Client Service

  • Coordinate with relevant areas of the Bank to deliver an excellent service to the front office client relationship teams and their clients.
  • Collaborate across the business to develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that Client transfers between Relationship Managers and Teams is recorded and recorded within Bank systems.

Business management and improvement

  • Assist with ad hoc testing for systems following change projects within the front office.

Person Specification

Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
  • Good academic background.
  • Analytical skills with experience collecting, organizing, analysing and reporting abundant information with accuracy using Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge or an understanding of Real Estate lending would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Good Interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively.

Qualifications:


  • Preferably Graduate, minimum A Level educated.
