This is a fantastic opportunity to join our hardworking team at The Paddocks residential care home in Swaffham, our care team really do care about our residents and are dedicated and warm-hearted.

Previous experience isn't necessary as full training is given, but a caring, compassionate and warm approach is essential.

Everything we do is from the heart, caring is our passion, we always have fun and, nothing is too much.


The Paddocks is conveniently situated in the centre of Swaffham, a beautiful and tranquil Norfolk market town with a vast selection of shops, cafes and restaurants.

The home provides the highest level of personalised residential and dementia care to up-to 100 residents.


The Role:


Care Assistants play a crucial role in the lives of our residents and their families and are the most vital members of our team.

We expect our Care Assistants to interact with our residents in a relationship-centred manner, promoting their dignity, independence, well-being, and becoming an integral part of the lives.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Assisting residents with their daily personal care including but not limited to, bathing, dressing and undressing, general hygiene.
  • Our Care Assistants are supporting a wide range of residents with specific needs e.g., Alzheimer's, dementia, epilepsy, deaf/ blind etc.
  • Assisting the residents with physical disabilities in using personal aids and equipment as required.
  • Ensuring residents safety is always the priority.
  • Record accurately in care plans maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Our Care Assistants promote mental and physical wellbeing of the residents by engaging with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies, and recreations and having a friendly chat.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all colleagues, residents, and visitors working together for the benefit of everyone.

Training and development
We see training and development as an instrumental part of the success of eachof our care homes.


Every Care Assistant will receive a full induction on commencement of employment ensuring that everyone feels welcomed and has a good understanding of their role and our high standards and ethos of the business.

Throughout your time with us we positively encourage further training through
National Vocational Qualifications. This is available throughout all areas of our business to include all employees.


If you don't have any experience, we will support and train you to promote your understanding of a Care Assistants role in clinical issues and to develop your own career pathway, ensuring that you feel confident in all aspects of the role.
