Akkodis is currently recruiting for a Senior Data Engineer to join our client on a 6 month initial contract, working on some exciting projects, that will shape their future over the next few years

Role:
Senior Data Engineer

Duration: 6 Months

Rate:
£700 - £755 per day

Status:
Inside IR35

Location:
Taunton, with flexible working - approximately 1-2 times per month on site expected
Responsibilities;

Designing, building, testing and deployment of production data pipelines and associated software systems.
Evaluating new technologies and building prototype systems.
Anticipating and mitigating against projectlevel challenges or risks.
Leading team delivery and ongoing maintenance of data pipeline systems in multiple technology and problem domains.
Presenting work to the wider team and to stakeholders.
Setting standards, coaching and sharing knowledge with other Data Engineers.

Essential Experience;

Track record of successfully delivering multiple resilient and scalable data pipelines
Capable of using cloud technologies such as AWS/Azure/GCP
Strong programming ability, ideally in Python, along with programming best practice
Experience of tools/techniques such as SQL, database types, data formats, data modelling
Demonstrable experience of pipeline logging, usage tracking and cost monitoring
