The Role / Responsibilities:


  • Reviewing, updating and delivering the quantitative content associated with various Real-World and Market-Consistent standard and customised SGrelated services.
  • Collaborating with our Product Management, Advisory Services, Research, and Service Delivery Infrastructure teams on projects associated with our SGrelated services.

This will include activities such as:

  • Working on highprofile bespoke advisory projects.
  • Contributing to the design of the processes and infrastructure used for the rapid and robust delivery of our SG calibration services.
  • Reviewing, updating and documenting the assumptions used in the calibration of our models.
  • The quantitative testing of our SG Calibration Tools and other SGrelated products.
  • The development of new model calibration methodologies.
  • Involvement in clientfacing activities such as:
  • Supporting our clients on complex SG modelling topics.
  • Supporting our clients and prospective clients during product/service trials.
  • Working with our Sales and Solution Specialist teams as a technical expert to support the sale of SGrelated products and services.
  • The delivery of onsite/remote standard and bespoke technical training courses as required.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Understanding of financial mathematics (e.g. derivative pricing, interestrate modelling, econometrics, stochastic processes, Monte-Carlo simulation).
  • Working toward or completed actuarial/CFA/FRM or related qualifications is advantageous.
  • Experience in a financial institution (e.g. within an insurance company) is advantageous.
  • Team/Project management experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with teams with different backgrounds and at all levels.
  • Experience of Excel/VBA is advantageous.
  • Efficient approach to problem solving.
  • Can be relied upon to hit deadlines while maintaining high standards.
  • Willingness to innovate and discuss ideas.
  • Open to using new methodologies.
