£59,306 to £82,360 per annum + £5,000 car allowance

We're recruiting a
Quality Inspector to work as part of our Development delivery team in the region ensuring compliance with specification, good workmanship, best practice and leading the production of a high quality final product.


About the job:

This is a site role to provide expert input on build progress and quality from design to handover. As part of the team, this role will lead on producing an excellent quality build in all aspects.

You'll be working with the team to identify and find solutions for design matters/issues with the aim of early engagement to minimise the effect on the project


You'll also assist the team in creating safe working environment for all putting the health and safety of the project first.


Other duties will include;-

  • Support the Delivery Manager / Commercial Manager to give advice and maintain accurate records for time, quality and cost of the project.
  • Work with the wider team in assessing buildability and deliverability on early stage plans, programme and RIBA stages 1 to
  • Highlight any potential specification and design issues for comment and rectification before it could affect construction and programme.
  • Consistent quality monitoring, ensuring all identified quality issues are tracked and fully resolved with an auditable trace to resolution.
  • Work on multiple projects across the region and priorities collaboratively with the Delivery Manager / Commercial Manager greatest site needs.

What we are looking for:


  • Significant experience in the construction industry with an indepth knowledge of sub and supper structure for apartment construction and house building experience.
  • Indepth knowledge of build materials and their interaction with each other.
  • Indepth knowledge of build sequences and programming
  • Experience of working in complex multidimensional projects in a large construction organisation.
  • Confidence in making judgements effectively and recommendations based on evidence and analysis.
  • Experience of managing risk, issues and dependencies within a complex programme.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and customers.
  • High degree of IT skills with an indepth understanding of current market leading digital delivery tools for programme, quality and defect tracking.
