Role Description


Reporting to the PMO Director, the PMO Data Lead will be responsible for tracking, reporting, scrutinising and enhancing the Group's reporting and data capabilities in relation to Investment/Financial management and benefit realisation.

The role involves Quality Assurance (QA), scrutiny of data, ownership of data requirements for system input / tools (i.e. how we manage our project data).

This role will require working with a variety of stakeholders at all levels across the business to agree data-sets (comprising portfolio delivery data and financial benefits) and work with and deriving insight from complex and large data sets to monitor, track and derive trusted insights on delivery portfolio performance and benefit realisation.


The PMO Data Lead will liaise with and support stakeholders across the Group's delivery portfolios; in practice this will mean challenging, coaching and influencing on a daily basis to ensure that data is consistent and accurate.

The role requires partnership with senior stakeholders to understand financial business cases and hold business areas to account to deliver value for investment.

The role requires significant experience with Microsoft Excel, expertise in data manipulation and analysis and knowledge of reporting best practice to create and present compelling insights to inform and support executive decision-making throughout the organisation.

A solid understanding of financial management principles is essential.

The role holder will regularly liaise with stakeholders across the Group to source high-quality content input in a timely fashion.

Excellent attention to detail, relationship management skills, and a good understanding on financial management are key to success in this role.

As part of this role the person will be expected to liaise with, QA and challenge data / data submissions to deliver reporting of the highest quality.

Although the role sits centrally, the role holder will need to be navigate the organisation and build close working relationships with programme leads and delivery practitioners to understand, monitor and report on the return of committed financial benefits.

  • Adhere to LSEG change standards, communicate these to project stakeholders, and monitor adherence accordingly
Attention to detail

  • Continually evaluate the quality of data in the project management tools and repositories, ensure status reports are updated and management and resolution of issues as governed by LSEG Group Standards
Essential

  • Knowledge and experience of project management methodologies, project planning, and project financial and resource management
  • Strong computer literacy, including advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite of projects, and a willingness and skill to learn new tools quickly
  • Excellent documentation skills; ability to create high quality steering committee materials
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organisational levels
  • Management of data and proficiency with project management and reporting tools such as Clarity PPM or other similar PPM tools
  • Willingness and ability to challenge, influence and coach stakeholders on information consistency, quality, and standards
Preferred

  • Global experience working successfully with teams in multiple locations simultaneously
  • Experience in large investment banking or financial services organisations
  • Experience and knowledge of supporting a large number of projects
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
