Head of Programme Operations - London, United Kingdom - Big Issue Group
Description
Big Issue Group is committed to building productive partnerships and innovative programmes to support marginalised people who want to work their way out of poverty and organisations who want to grow sustainably and we are looking for a Head of Programme Operations to join our team on a 1 year fixed term contract (Mat Cover).
In this role, you will act as a critical link between business partners, the business units, operations and the leadership team to manage, monitor and report on the delivery of TBI strategic programmes.
Programme management
You will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating the successful delivery of programmes and the associated project outputs through strong and effective programme management and project/operations delivery.
- Ensure roadmaps, KPIs, project specifications, quality, timelines and budget targets are met
- Develop with key stakeholders, success criteria for strategic projects
- Overseeing and supporting the BIR and Enterprise Programme teams to create and deliver their individual projects
- Guide the teams on project's lifecycle best practice (such as setting KPI's, creating Gantt charts, monitor project tasks, leading projects teams and more)
- Ensure all key information is adequately monitored and reported to all key stakeholders and funders
- Provide regular Programme and Project updates to The Big Issue Management Team.
- Provide evidence to support the achievement KPIs as outlined in the Business Plan
People management
Leading by example, empowering, and inspiring others
- Demonstrating the ability to manage upwards and sidewards to ensure that all key stakeholders are supporting the delivery of key strategic projects
- Oversee the daytoday management of the Programme Manager and Job Coaches / temporary staff to ensure successful programme delivery
Communication and
Collaboration
Working closely with all business units to ensure all key stakeholders are informed and updated as required
- Managing BIR's external communications on a day to day basis including the Jobs Site
- Working closely with Group Impact Manager to ensure measurement frameworks are in place and outcomes and progress are reported to relevant funders and key stakeholders
- Work closely with SMT and Group SMT colleagues to support the delivery of Group Strategic Priorities

Salary and Benefits offered
- The salary between £25,000 and £28,000 depending on experience
- Incremental holiday entitlement starting at 25 days per year plus bank holidays (prorata for part time staff) plus paid leave to care for a sick child or grandchild and a sick or elderly relation
