We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic clinician, to provide a highly specialist CYP IAPT, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) service to children and young people up to the age of 18 with mild to moderate/complex anxiety disorders, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.


The post-holder will work in the CYP IAPT CBT team and as part of the Forward Thinking Birmingham (FTB) partnership, and will contribute to the development of FTB services in accordance with the CYP IAPT principles.


This post is suitable for a newly qualified Clinical Psychologist, or an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist, Senior Mental Health Practitioner, or clinician with a core profession.

Clinician will be accredited or working towards accreditation with the BABCP


The post-holder will be part of the CYP IAPT CBT team and deliver Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to children and young people up to the age of 18.

in our East Integrated Community Hub at the Blakesley Centre in Yardley for 4 days a week and will offer a 1 day per week in our South Integrated Community HUB at the Oaklands Centre in Selly Oak.


It is essential applicants can meet the travel requirements of the post and be willing to travel between Trust sites and to appointments within the Team catchment area.

To provide a highly specialist CYP IAPT CBT clinical service to a defined population of children and young people with moderate/complex anxiety disorders, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, working within a framework of personal objectives, via membership of the CYP IAPT CBT team and as part of the FTB partnership
