Our aim at Headway is to ensure that every learner has the opportunity to thrive, feel valued and be successful, and we are committed to ensuring this happens for each and every student no matter what challenges or barriers to learning they face. We offer flexible, individualised programmes for students who, for a variety of reasons, are finding mainstream school difficult, which includes a therapeutic, nurturing approach alongside our academic curriculum.- In addition to the right curriculum, children need the right pastoral care.

At Headway, all students are allocated with a Key Worker, who will develop the home school partnership and ensure that communication is strong and effective.

This role will support the work with families to ensure positive change and build strong relationships. We are looking for a practitioner who believes in collaboration and team work who can demonstrate a strong track record in working with outsides agencies and school staff.- The following qualifications and experience are essential:
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) Grade C or above
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of working with multi
- agency support plans

  • Leading Child protection and Child in Need plans; attending conferences and chairing meetings
