We are seeking a motivated Lab Support Assistant, as part of the Laboratory Support Team, who thrives in a fast paced business environment to provide services to our client based at Reckitt Hull.

THE ROLE

  • Preparation of microbiological media to suit the needs of the client
  • Daily collection of PH results or produced media, as required
  • To conduct general laboratory housekeeping within the media preparation area.
  • Conduct regular checks of gas cylinder supply to the microbiology lab
  • Ensuring adherence to GMP/GDP standards of excellence
  • Complete functionality checks of equipment in the microbiology lab
  • Keeping accurate records and reporting completion of request media to manager
  • Managing and maintaining required stock of lab consumable items
  • Completion of any ad hoc tasks at the request of management
  • Acting as a point of contact for client queries and requests

ESSENTIAL

  • Strong IT literacy
  • Strong literacy/ numeracy skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Effective communication skills

DESIRABLE

  • General knowledge of best H&S practice
  • Science qualification

JOB DETAILS

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00, 37.5 hours a week

Rate of pay:
£12 an hour (Upgraded to £12.53 upon successful completion of 6 month probationary period

Full training and PPE provided


Location:
Hull, HU8 7DS
