SEN Teaching Assistant

Between £90 - £110 per day

We are looking for motivated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with special educational needs (SEN) in various schools across Bishop's Stortford.

The role requires assisting students to access the curriculum effectively and achieve their educational targets.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide oneonone and small group support to students with various SEN.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other educational staff to facilitate inclusive educational practices.
  • Support the social, emotional, and educational development of students.
  • Manage classroom behaviors effectively using positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students with SEN.

Requirements:


  • Experience working with children, particularly in an SEN setting, is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • A patient and resilient approach to handling challenging situations.
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or similar are highly regarded.
  • Must possess or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
