About the Role:


Longwood Business Support are a growing accountancy and HR support business, with a team who are passionate about helping small and growing businesses.


We are looking for someone to join our team who has a breadth of experience in all areas of day-to-day bookkeeping, accounting and payroll, with strong QuickBooks and Xero knowledge.

You will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients, working remotely for them through Longwood Business Support.

As part of our amazing Longwood Team, you will be an effective team player who demonstrates our core values on a daily basis.


Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

  • Coding supplier invoices and expenses in (QuickBooks and Xero)
  • Chasing clients for information on transactions that need to be explained
  • Weekly/Monthly payment Run for clients
  • Allocating bank feed items to supplier accounts
  • Staff Expenses Management
  • Correctly Accounting for VAT on purchases/expenses

Accounts Receivable

  • Sales invoicing
  • Credit control and queries
  • Allocating bank feed items to customer accounts
  • Correctly accounting for VAT on sales receipts

Payroll

  • Processing joiners/leavers
  • Processing and submitting monthly payroll
  • Monthly payroll journal

Other

  • Completing bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Assisting clients with QuickBooks and Xero queries where required

Attributes required to Successfully Deliver the Role


To be successful in this role it is important that you demonstrate a commitment to embrace our culture, which focuses on delivering an exceptional service to our clients, going above and beyond what a traditional accountancy practice would offer.

We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion to help small businesses and to find ways to make accountancy processes work seamlessly.


You will need to work with a high degree of accuracy and detail, have at significant experience of working in a similar environment at a similar level, have some formal accounting qualifications (AAT, NVQ, CIMA, ACCA) and sound knowledge of QuickBooks and Xero.


You will need to have a full UK driving licence and be able to attend / work in person with our team up to twice a week.

  • QuickBooks Pro Adviser Training (Intuit)
  • Anti Money Laundering Training (Internal)
  • Client Engagement Training (Internal)

Job Type:
Part-time


Salary:
£13.00-£16.00 per hour
