Bank contract, zero hours

Information about the Role:

Working as a Support Worker at Freshfields your duties will include the following:

Providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care.
Providing emotional support for an individual and at times their families.
Maintain the hygiene, dignity, health and safety of service users at all times.
Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
Teaching life skills, such as shopping, using public transport and paying for bills.
Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards.
Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service provision.
If applicable, assist in the administration of medication.

Set in beautiful gardens near to Formby town centre, close to the nature reserve and the coast Freshfields Nursing home provides excellent care for individuals with complex needs, physical and mental disabilities.

Our care is person focussed with each individuals needs being catered for individually so that they can lead a happy and fulfilling life doing the things they enjoys and accessing a wide range of activities.

With 31 bedrooms, 20 of which have en-suite facilities, all on ground level Freshfields is surrounded by extensive gardens with every room having a garden aspect and the majority having direct access to the gardens meaning all our residents can enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Freshfields is a model nursing home with expertly trained staff able to support a wide range of conditions.

Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Support worker:

Previous experience working as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Domiciliary Carer or Senior preferred.
Must have driving licence to drive Mini Bus
Caring, kind and considerate.
Passionate about making a difference in someone else's life.
Good communication skills.
Able handle sometimes challenging situations.
Fun, energetic and able to build relationships with many different people.
