Description
The North East Scotland Biodiversity Partnership is seeking a Coordinator to lead on the
implementation of the Partnership's Strategic Delivery Plan. The Coordinator must be a dynamic
and self-motivated person and will be tasked with promoting the value of biodiversity to the
local community and delivering the goals of the partnership. Also, the coordinator will support
the Partners in delivering actions for priority habitats and species, with regard to the Nature
Conservation Act 2004 and the Scottish Biodiversity Strategy and emerging delivery plans.

biodiversity and conservation policies and issues. They must have excellent communication
skills, including the use of social media.

Duties typically include developing specific awareness-raising initiatives with local community
groups, landowners, businesses and others, supporting partner organisations in incorporating
actions into operational plans and work programmes, developing specific collaborative
biodiversity projects with partners, coordinating awareness raising events and enhance the
profile of the partnership through our website and through our
social media activities. The Coordinator also assists with the running of the Management Group,
Steering Group and the Awareness and Involvement Group.

The post is hosted by the James Hutton Institute and the job comes with a generous annual leave
allowance (up to 40.5 days a year), an employer contribution of 15% to a personal pension plan,
