Role Description:


  • Provide analytical support in executing internal control discipline and operational excellence within a LOB/ECF.
  • Gather and organize data to monitor and test the effectiveness of key controls and status of mitigation and action plans.
  • Prepare documentation for the tracking, monitoring, and escalation of risk related issues to management.
  • Acts as an ambassador of the risk culture. Incumbents typically have over 5+ years of risk management and/or LOB/ECF experience.
  • May manage staff.
  • Responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the overall Risk and Control Framework;
  • Facilitating the monthly risk reporting governance process for the FI Operations teams to ensure alignment and appropriate escalation to the Monthly SLT Risk Forum.
  • Assist with the evaluation and assessment process in support of the Operations Risk Control Self Assessments and corresponding business line support;
  • Provide guidance for alignment with evolving SPI/ PRC and Ops Ex requirements;
  • Support GMO management team globally on ad hoc initiatives, Risk Appetite and Risk Scoring.
  • Support Operations Management in effectively challenging lines of business performance and effectiveness reviews.
  • Assist LOB in developing selfidentified audit issue plans and coordination of tollgates with Corporate Audit and COO team. Provide independent validation of evidence & issue closure.
  • Assist in the definition and validation of Quality Assurance testing programs.
  • Support Operations teams during internal audits, GCOR Targeted Risk Assessments, Operational Risk Assessments, Regulatory reviews, and annual RCSA process.
  • Strive to embed a risk awareness culture across the Global Markets Operations.
  • This individual contributor role will align with Americas Settlements, Trades Processing & Clearing while having regular interaction with a broad range of stakeholders, including management in Global Markets Operations, Compliance and Operational Risk,and other Control teams.

The Team:


The Global Markets Operations (GMO) team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements services across Global Markets Fixed Income Cash and Derivatives businesses.

The teams provide pre
- and post-trade services such as trade assistance, support,and control, electronic matching services, pre-settlement, and Post
  • Settlement services, and Over the Counter (OTC) derivative confirmation support.
The Operational Risk and Control Team provides Governance and Operational Risk Oversight support to the GMO organization globally. Primary responsibilities include Risk and Control support, issue management, Ops Loss reporting, Policy guidance, Metric designand Management reporting. Associates should have a strong working knowledge of fixed income products and their corresponding lifecycles. Our associates are expected to collaborate with our support partners to maintain, develop, and implement effective globallyuniform workflow controls.
We seek an individual contributor with a strong control mindset and experience with Global Markets products.

Prior experience working in Global Markets Trade Control, Operations, Settlements, Finance, Compliance, internal audit, or Operational Risk Controlare all beneficial.
