We are looking for dedicated, passionate Support Workers to join our team in our Care Home in Finchley. Full and part time opportunities available.

You must be able to work flexibly, between service locations, covering a mixture of shifts during the week, weekends, night shifts and sleep ins.

Job Role

A minimum of NVQ Level 2 is preferred for this role and MUST have experience in a Learning Disabilities setting for at least 2 years.

However, the opportunity of being enrolled on to this course to obtain your qualification would be offered to you upon a successful 3 months probationary period.

You will be supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, challenging behaviour, physiological and mental health needs within our care home schemes.

By providing a high level of care to vulnerable people and through maintaining dignity and respect at all times, you will ensure our residents have choice and control over the service/s they receive and the activities they wish to pursue.

You will provide support in aspects of the residents' daily living which will include the administering of medication, supporting with finances and attending appointments.

You will be required to develop and maintain strong relationships and communication links with our residents, colleagues and other professionals.

Person Specification

Relevant experience is essential, along with flexibility to work on a shift rota basis covering early and late shifts, waking nights, sleep shifts, some weekends and bank holidays.

Excellent listening and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to demonstrate a good standard of written, verbal and numeracy skills, as well as good basic IT skills.

You will need to be a great team player, motivated, enthusiastic and able to build positive relationships.

The Service
We have Care Home and Supported Living services in Finchley.

We are a care provider offering specialist 24-hour care and support to Asian women who have learning disabilities and complex health needs.

We operate across one care home and three small, supported living units in Finchley.

You will help plan and support our residents to live their life as independent as possible and assist in the house with tasks such as cooking, baking and laundry.

We have a fantastic team of care workers who are passionate about their work.
